Tale of Three Cities
nationalgeographic.com
August, 1999

For their August 1999 issue, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Magazine published a triptych of city life in the past three millennia: Alexandria in 1 B.C.; Córdoba, Spain in 1000 A.D.; and New York City today.
I designed an online version in Flash and HTML that identified more than 30 elements from the image and how they played an important part of their respective eras.

North Carolina Raves
September, 1998

This multimedia documentary, the result of a year and a half of work, contains 80 photos, streaming audio, and a guide to rave music.
Responsibilities included photography, location audio, writing, production, and web design. Visit the site, or read about the technical issues involved, and how it would ideally be a database-driven site allowing users to submit photos, text and audio.

Explorers' Bookmarks
nationalgeographic.com
July, 1999

Where do real-life explorers like to explore the web? We asked world-renown explorers including Johan Reinhard, Sylvia Earle, and Mike Fay what their favorite bookmarked sites were, and I designed the online presentation.
